Iranscope takes a
different approach to everything. It has tales but narrates not. It criticizes
but slanders not. It enjoys a tone inspired by an awareness of art history and artistic
mediums. It says so much about without redundancy. At first, it appears personal
and closed to the viewer but gradually opens up and becomes familiar. It
pretends to be harsh but expresses its agonies through irony.
Iranscope partly frames the new language of Iranian
visual artists, modestly yet profoundly welcoming its audience. Without
imposing itself, it allows the addressee to slowly enter the network of patterns
and forms and orient himself with what he sees. Iranscope is a rarely
encountered example of what informs the spirit of Iranian art. The images of
Iranscope present in one package, concepts ranging from artist subjectivities
to media products. This is a beautiful yet simple package that the viewer can
easily unpack, relate to, enjoy and process without any frustration. In the upcoming
presentation you will see all different media used one way or the other in the
works of four artists: this is because Iranscope has gone beyond, while
remaining conscious of all classic definitions and conventions of technic and
tactic, applying them when needed
without becoming dependent upon or indebted to
them. Hence, you will find in each and every work of these artists as
well as in the overall exhibitions, such turn of tactics, techniques and
meaning as well as a kind of easiness in choosing mediums relevant to the concepts
which, without expressing themselves, slowly enter the mind of the viewer and
rest there.
