Masoud Akhavan Jam

Brief Biography Masoud Akhavanjam, Born in 1969 in Tehran , Iran , Masoud akhavanjam was sent off to Landschulheim Steinmuehle Boarding School in Marburg Germany, at the age of 14 . In 1989 Masoud moved to the United States to the George Washington University and received his Bs degree in Biology in 1995. Later he received an Excutive MBA degree in 2005 from the Kempten University of Applied Science in Germany. From 1997 to 2011 Masoud managed the Design Department the at a very reputable Iranian manufacturing company for household appliences . During his high school years he took a scupturing class to make ceramic sculptures. He made hundreds in the the 80's and sold some of them . Later with the knowledge he had gained through the manufacturing and the special interest he always had for making sculptures , he established his own workshop and made his first Bronze sculpture in 2011. In 2013 he had his first solo exhibition at the Etemad Gallery in Tehran , solo exhibition at the Niavaran Cultural Palace in 2015, and his latest solo Exhibition at the shirin Gallery in 2016 . In addition he has participated in Abu Dhabi art fair 2016 , and Context Miami Art fair 2016 with Shirin Gallery; and in many group exhibition such as Opera gallery, Dubai, Mojdeh Gallery, Mohsen Gallery, and Ariana Gallery in Tehran . Also he has participated in Magic of Persia Auction 2015 in Dubai , and Tehran Auction 2016 and 2017. In 2017 he took part at the context Venice Biennale , open borders. And he is preparing for the participation in Context Venice Biennale 2019.
